A secret tunnel and elevator connect this 1960s clifftop hotel to its own private cala.

Built in the 1960s on a cliff above Aiguafreda, the hotel reaches its small private cove by elevator and a tunnel cut through the rock, one of the more unusual routes to the water on this coast. The site sits inside the Ses Negres marine reserve, with the Medes Islands visible offshore. It's an adults-only stay, so this isn't a family beach scene.
