Two kilometres of beach on a Pacific headland, with two coves you can swim between.
The resort sits on a headland at the northern tip of Banderas Bay with two kilometres of beach along it. Manzanillas is the wider of the two, sandy with a gentle shorebreak; Cuevas is a smaller cove tucked between volcanic rocks, calmer and more sheltered, and the better of the two for a steady swim. Residents who swim here year round describe the water as nothing like Los Cabos, with no riptides and often as calm as a lake. It is the Pacific rather than the Caribbean, so the water is warm but not glass clear, though visibility around the rocks at Cuevas is usually good. Humpbacks pass the shoreline between December and March.
